Update on the Business Support Component and Countrywide Training Rollout

, we will begin the nationwide rollout of youth entrepreneurship training across 25 counties, covering 151 constituencies and 754 wards. This marks one of the most extensive youth empowerment efforts under the NYOTA Project. A total of 63,231 selected beneficiaries have already received text message notifications confirming their successful selection and inviting them to attend training at designated venues within their respective constituencies.

The training will run for four days, and each beneficiary is required to attend at least three days to qualify for start-up capital. We have mapped out 222 training centres across the country, with some constituencies hosting more than one centre due to their geographical size. In such cases, beneficiaries are encouraged to choose the training centre nearest to them, as long as it is within their constituency.

Disbursement of start-up capital will commence immediately after the completion of the classroom training. This process ensures that youth can quickly begin implementing their business ideas and taking steps toward sustainable economic empowerment.
