NYOTA Project Business Support Disbursement Update
Today, Principal Secretary MSMEs Development met with H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, at State House, Nairobi, to brief him on the progress of the Business Support Component of the NYOTA Project ahead of the disbursement of the second tranche of Business Start-up Capital Grants scheduled for this Friday.
The nationwide disbursement exercise will be conducted simultaneously at 18 designated venues, bringing together beneficiaries from all 47 counties. A total of 122,000 beneficiaries will each receive a second grant of KSh 25,000, bringing the cumulative Business Start-up Capital Grant per beneficiary to KSh 50,000.
Beyond financial support, all beneficiaries have successfully completed structured business skills training and mentorship programmes designed to strengthen their entrepreneurial capacity and enhance the sustainability and growth of their enterprises.
The NYOTA Project continues to mark a significant milestone in the Government's commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and advancing inclusive economic growth under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
