Preparations for NYOTA Second-Tranche Start-Up Capital Disbursement Reviewed
Principal Secretary MSMEs Development joined Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki in a high-level consultative meeting that brought together relevant Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Heads of Government Agencies to review preparations for the second tranche disbursement of the NYOTA Business Start-up Capital grant of Ksh 25,000, scheduled for 27th June 2026.
The meeting also explored strategies to strengthen support for NYOTA beneficiaries beyond the initial start-up capital. We discussed opportunities for beneficiaries to access additional financing through Government catalytic funds, including the Hustler Fund, Uwezo Fund, and the Youth Enterprise Development Fund, to meet their evolving capital needs, expand their enterprises, and enhance the sustainability of their businesses.
