25th EAC MSME Trade Fair closing Ceremony
The PS joined the Cabinet Secretary Hon Wycliffe A. Oparanya, EGH in recognising MSMEs as the region’s greatest hope for addressing youth unemployment. We must unite as a region to build a strong, supportive ecosystem that enables our entrepreneurs to succeed.
H.E. Veronica Nduva, Secretary General of the EAC, further underscored the commitment to unlocking free market access for MSMEs across regional borders, in order to actualising the immense opportunities under the AfCFTA, an integrated market of 1.4 billion people and a GDP of USD 3 trillion.
Principal Secretary Susan Mang'eni also requested the organising committee to align the annual EAC MSME Trade Fair calendar with the Summit of Heads of State in November. This will ensure that the outcomes and resolutions of the EAC MSME Expo can be presented directly to the Summit, allowing for deeper policy engagement and stronger regional action.
We appreciate the exhibitors from the 8 member states who joined us in Kenya to display their products in the 25th EAC MSME trade fair. Asanteni sana.
